You might remember couple of days before I posted a blog where I discussed about Benefits of Me time so today I will share what we can actually do during those me time. I mean nobody wants to simply sit during me time (that is also cool if you are willing to do that).So without much blah blah let’s move on to the topic :

Meditation is really powerful. I know you all have heard it before. But its true. You don’t need a fancy guided meditation I mean that is also good but you can even try a simple 5 minute meditation. I always do that during my me time. I just set a timer for 5 minutes and simply close my eyes and just clear my thoughts..Ahh its so refreshing..You will really love it.
You can also use this time to just read the books you have kept aside for so long time. Just grab a cup of coffee or tea. Sit comfortably and just read….Don’t worry if you don’t have books readily available you can also download Amazon – kindle app in your phone.
Just get some fresh air. You can either hit a gym or go for a hike or walk. Even simply play a song and dance to it. Get your body moving.
Let your inner artist come outside. You don’t have to be a Picasso to paint. Simply paint anything. Even you can buy adult coloring books and start coloring. :-). Try it!!!! I really feel super relaxing after painting.
5. Create something new – DIY crafts
There are so many YouTube videos available. Try to create something. Use that scissor that has been dusting out there.
If you love dessert like me bake something. You can even try for a healthy alternative version of a cake you have baked before.
7. Write a gratitude journal
Scribble things you are grateful for. Just write 3 things you are grateful for. You can be grateful for your kids , for your family for your job anything. Just be grateful for the things around you even simpler things. By doing this simple exercise you will see how much positivity it can bring to your life.
8. Go for a spa
Utilise this time to pamper yourself. If you don’t want to spent money you can even do a spa at home.
9. Learn a language
So many online free classes are available. You can learn a new language which will come in handy when you will be visiting that place. 😉
10 Learn to cook / music
Improve your culinary skills. We all know how to cook. You can learn how to cook professionally. If you are interested you can even learn music.
11. Write a blog
You can start working on a blog about any topic and you never know may be that could be your side hustle.
12. Sit idle
Open your window and let sun flow it into your room and just observe the little things happening outside. If you have a garden even better. Just watch the flowers , plants , butterflies etc. Try to enjoy doing nothing in your me time. Just plain nothing.
13. Record your own voice or singing
Sometimes I like to record my own voice or I would sing and record myself. Just for fun . Trust me imagine you are in some kind of competition or you are in a recording studio and you are composing your own music.
14. Reflect on your life
This is my favorite thing to do during me time. I would just write down things I want to buy in the near future. To write things I would do if I have ample amount of money. I also write about my past failures and future goals.
15. Plan for your savings
Its time to pull up your socks and start planning about financial goals. How much money you are going to save. Money to buy a house , to pay off any mortgage or student loan anything. Use this me time to come up with a plan for your managing your finances.
16. Watch your favourite movie or TV show
Catch up on your favorite TV shows. Don’t feel guilty that you are not doing anything productive. Its your time just enjoy.
17 Write all the random thoughts or ideas that come to your mind
I have lots of random thoughts or ideas coming up all the time and when its time to implement I always forget. SO now is the time to jot that down. Write down all your fears, your ideas , thought processes, your to dos , shopping lists, meal prep planning everything. This simple exercise will help to reduce your anxiety and keep you sane.
18. Watch some Youtube videos/ Ted talks / listen to podcast
We need motivation to complete any task. There are lots of informative motivational inspiring YouTube videos available. Just watch that and get inspired. You can even listen to TED talks or podcast anything. Stay motivated.
